The National Competitiveness Council Philippines and Social Weather Stations (SWS) conducted the 2017 Survey of Enterprises on Corruption Focus Group Discussion held at CB Conference Room, Tara Building, Makati City last August 9, 2017.
As part of RSRH’s anti-corruption advocacy, RSRH President & CEO Raymond Hernandez is one of the invited contributor in the said meeting. He shared his first-hand experiences with corruption in government agencies that have direct links in his industry sector. Likewise, Mr. Hernandez imparted his insights and suggested to include other government institutions in the said 2017 survey that was not included in the previous survey.
The focus group discussion is preparatory to the 14th Survey of Enterprises on Corruption to Filipino enterprises in seven (7) major areas in the Philippines. The objective of the FGD is to renew and update the survey tool/questionnaire, if necessary, depending on the inputs generated from the discussion.
The Survey of Enterprises is conducted annually by Social Weather Stations with funding support from The Asia Foundation using resources provided by the United States Agency for International Development. The survey covers Philippine business executives engaged in small and medium-scale enterprise as well as large-scale businesses in Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Cebu City, Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, and Davao City. The Makati Business Club assists in the survey preparation through the organization of focus group discussions and introductions to regional business groups such as the Cebu Business Club, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oro Chamber, and Mindanao Business Council.
