The Department of Agriculture – National Meat Inspection Service is having a review and enhancement of the Philippine Meat Inspection Procedures into HACCP – Based Meat Inspection System Design and Implementation of Training Programs. This is to facilitate the revision and updating of NMIC Administrative Order No. 6 s. 1975 “Rules and Regulations governing Meat Inspection in the Philippines”.
NMIS acceredited “AAA”, “AA”, “A” poultry dressing plants and slaughterhouses will be evaluated for familiarization with the establishment’s compliance to NMIS regulations, for later consideration in the revision and updating of the Philippine slaughter guidelines and regulations. The NMIS Technical Working Group together with experts from HACCP Consulting, LLC and SGS Philippines Inc., in cooperation of RSRH Livestock Corporation, its manangement and staff; conducted an evaluation of the current slaughter inspection system at RSRH abattoir in Marilao, Bulacan.
This is RSRH’s way of supporting and enhancing the Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Industry and its regulatory body, NMIS mission-vision, whcih is to provide the Filipino people of wholesome, clean, and safe meat at all times.
