Last May and July 2017, the Plant Operation Standards and Monitoring Division (POSMD) of the National Meat Inspection Service conducted its Re-Tooling Training/Workshop for the Meat Inspection Officers of Luzon and Visayas leg at the National Meat Inspection Service, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. The actual hands-on training for large animal was held at the RSRH new abattoir and meat plant in Marilao, Bulacan.
Mr. Raymond Hernandez, RSRH President and CEO was awarded by the NMIS national office with a certificate of appreciation for sharing his valuable knowledge and skills as clinical instructor and resource speaker during the said training-workshop. Moreover, RSRH Livestock Corporation received a plaque of appreciation for its continued support and cooperation to the NMIS program and activities.
The activity aims to enhance technical knowledge, decision-making and actions in the actual meat inspection process in accredited slaughterhouses and to provide update on the meat inspection system such as procedures, supervision, reporting, and recording. This is also to re-establish in-line inspectors to ensure consistent delivery of meat production.
